Étienne Buisson

Étienne Buisson was a French socialist publicist of the early twentieth century, active around the Mouvement socialiste and the trade-union question. He contributed to the Quinzaine cahier IX-3 (1908), Le Parti Socialiste et les Syndicats, an intervention in the long internal debate between the unified SFIO and the syndicalist CGT over the autonomy of the labour movement — a question on which Péguy himself had strong, idiosyncratic views. Further biographical details have not been firmly established for this notice.
